MiSACWIS data types
As with any good filing system, information in a database must be categorized so it can be easily retrieved later. MiSACWIS uses three key data types to organize information. Click the numbers on the right to learn more.
-
Person - The first data type, the person profile contains information about any individual known to MiSACWIS. Person profiles are created for participants in a case as well as associated individuals such as attorneys, DHS staff, and guardians ad litem.
Person records contain demographic information, relationships to other individuals, links to cases, and additional details such as adoption information and absent/alleged parents.

Provider - The third data type in MiSACWIS is provider data.
This includes individuals and organizations that provide case services ranging from foster care homes to community residential programs.
Each provider record contains contact information. In home provider records, you may also record training details.
